* Check if your computer/laptop has an S-Video output. Most of the computers or laptops have them.

* Check if your TV has S-video input. Again, most of the TVs have it, unless its really old.

These days with so many options of renting movies, it leaves us confused about what is the best option to rent the movies. Gone are the days of going to the video store, and walking through aisles, looking for the movie you wanted to watch and getting dissapointed if you were not able to find the movie you wanted to watch.

If you rent movies online, then here i will tell you about other options that you can consider. If you still don't rent movies online, then this is a good starting point for you.

If you frequently go to movie stores like blockbuster, video-store, hollywood and spend $3-5 on 1 movie rental - then please read the following and start renting movies online. Habit adjustments required (!!)

1. Netflix

By far the most popular online renting place, this one gives you a free 2-4 week trial (depending on your location) for any of their plans. And yes it is free (no strings attached). All you do is sign-up, give ur credit card info (to charge you in case you don't call to cancel after trial period) and select the movies you want to watch. Depending on what part of the country you live in, or how closer you live to one of their warehouses, you will receive the first set of movies in 2-3 days. (Yes, thats correct) !

Once you get your first movie(s) - open the envelope, do not throw it away. Once you are done watching the movie, put the DVD back in the envelope and seal it. (its actually very simple - shown clearly on the envelope). Now just post this in your nearest mailbox. Make sure that you have selected the next set of movies that you wanted to watch (this list is called Queue - and you keep moving/adding to the list, based on what movie you would like to get shipped out to you)

Traveling from any international airport to USA - 3

At the United States Airport

Before leaving the Craft-
Checkpoints:
1. You have collected all your belongings-Baggage/ purse/pouch/glasses.
2. You have two duly filled in forms-I-94 and US Custom Form/ Your passport(s).

On reaching the Airport, head towards the Immigration Counter.

1.Immigration counter.
You will have to stand in the line, and wait for your turn.
The inspector will check your passport and the immigration form. He might ask a few questions about your visa status, purpose of visit, address of stay, duration of stay etc. Answer them correctly. The officer will attach a part of I-94 form you filled, to your passport, this is very important. Check for the visa status and expiry date, written by the officer on it. You will also be asked for digital fingerprint and a photograph.

2. Custom Officer.
The Custom Officer will ask you for the Custom Form.

3. Check in Baggage
Collect a baggage trolley and collect your check in baggage at the baggage collection counter.

You might need to pay for the trolley at some airports. Keep some change handy.
You can now proceed towards the "Exit" gate

** Remember: If you are questioned by the airport officers, answer them properly without any fear. But be careful, there should not be any discrepancy in the information stated in your documents and what you answer. It has happened in few cases, that due to the unsatisfactory answers about the stay, status, etc. people have been deported immediately. For instance, don't ever say, you will work here, if you hold H4, L2, B1 or visitor visa.

Traveling from any international airport to USA - 2

At the TRANSIT airport:

If you do not have a direct flight to your destination, then you will probably have 1 0r 2 stopovers. In that case, you would have to follow the procedures/formalities of the transit airport.


Once you reach the airport, check for the Terminal/Gate Number of your next flight.
In case you have to change terminal, it is advisable to know beforehand, of any connecting airport shuttle to take you to the desire terminal.

In some countries you may even require Transit Visa, to go out of the Airport/stay in the Airport.

** Indian Citizens , holding a valid Indian passport and a valid US visa , traveling to USA via UK, Germany, Holland, Italy , Paris, Switzerland, Tokyo, Hong Kong do not need transit visa IF they are not going out of airport.



At the transit Airport, after arriving at the assigned terminal, you have to again go through the security check, and get all your carry in checked.When announced, proceed for Boarding.
The baggage you had checked would be taken care of, you don't have to bother.

Yes, I know you have heard that all the time. People are watching movies and television shows online. But i always wondered what are the best places on the web to see them. Whenever you search on google or any other search engine for movies, you almost always run into "weird" sites which are not for real and they dont really have good content to show.

Over the past few years, i have met people who say they have stopped going to movie theatres and now watch movies online. And then i would be curious and ask them, where and how. Everybody comes up with random names for tools or softwares to download movies and watch them. If you are not really a techno-junkie, you must be dreaded with these names - "torrents", "P2P" software. I dont really like the idea of spending 3+ hours figuring out how to download a 1.5 hour movie (makes sense isnt it?). So i decided to compose a list of sites where you can watch movies online (really) and yes you dont have to download it. Watching streaming video is lot better than downloading it (infact the worst is waiting indefinitely sometimes for someone to 'seed' a video to you)

So my top recommendation to watch English and Hindi movies and a ** LOT** of other stuff online is:

Yes, the name might sound a little weird. But this site has the latest english, hindi movies. tons of indian TV channels and a whole lot of entertainment stuff. The best part of this website is that this relies completely on ads, so there doesnt seem to be any chance of virus infection or anything. In my experience i have never experienced any malicious spyware using this site.

To Watch English TV shows:
* On the left side of the main page, select 'Live TV'
* Select 'English TV'

To Watch English Movies:
* On the left side of the main page, select 'Movies'
* Select 'Hollywood'

To Watch Hindi TV shows:

This is one place to watch latest english movies in *really high* quality. The only problem is that sometimes it plays using the megauploader. If you are not a subscriber to the MegaUploader, then the movie will stop after about 55 minutes. You would have to wait an hour before you can restart the movie and watch the remaining half of the movie. I know that sucks, but coming to think of it, you are getting to watch high DVD quality movie for free.

Try doing a chore or two while you wait for the movie to start again. :)

This is a very good website to watch Hindi movies and TV shows. They have the links to the latest hindi movies right on their homepage.

Another great place which has links to a *TON* of movies - mostly Hindi and Telugu movies. Click on the links - looks like there are no spyware-adware involved here.

As you open the site, you will see the latest movies link on the right. This is where you can see the latest movies. To see if they have any of your favorites from the past, click on the "Movie Pages" link on the left.

(short for bollywood cinema)
This is one great place to watch bollywood movies online, but unfortunately its not free. It costs $11.99 for a month. But i recommend taking the $3.99 trial (which lasts for 3 days) and watch movies over a weekend.
